Assessing Working Scientifically RH198 / A103
Summary
Join us for this course, focusing on assessing working scientifically in primary science.
This course will explore how children, ‘work scientifically’ within the Primary Science curriculum. You will explore what ‘working scientifically’ skills primary pupils learn and the progression of these from Early Years through to Key Stage 2.
We will explore how opportunities for pupils to demonstrate these skills can be built into your Science Curriculum, ensuring their full coverage and a range of enquiry types. We will also consider how accurate assessments (both formative and summative) can be made and the power of peer and self-assessment within this context.
