We will look at making meaningful links from our science teaching with reading & writing. We will consider the importance of vocabulary progression from EYFS to Y6.

By the end of the session you will:

  • Understand the nature & breadth of opportunities for linking science & English
  • Know where to look for quality texts to support science learning & delivery
  • Have strategies to support the explicit teaching of vocabulary within science
  • Know how to raise attainment in science by developing effective reading and writing skills
