Summary

We are delighted to present a programme of CPD designed to support the development and delivery of an excellent science curriculum. The 6 sessions examine the curriculum and how to teach it, by considering both substantive (content) and disciplinary (skills) knowledge, so that pupils gain an understanding of, as well as an interest in science. In addition, we consider assessment.

Sessions

  • Planning for excellence in science and Assessment - 09.11.23, 09:30 - 15:30
  • Biology and Working scientifically  - 30.01.24, 09:30 - 15:30
  • Chemistry - 05.03.24, 13:30 - 16:00
  • Physics - 24.04.24, 13:30 - 16:00

Each session, covering EYFS to Y6 (and beyond), will involve participant tasks, consider ‘what this might look like in the classroom’ and signpost to the best resources available.

There is a 50% Teacher Release Payment available from STEM Learning for Local Authority maintained schools. Please note that this does not deduct the fee immediately.  You will receive an invoice for the full amount and the Teacher Release Payment will be released back to the school once attendance at all sessions has been confirmed.

Local Authority maintained schools will be fully reimbursed for the programme fee via Cheshire East Council.

If you are an Academy, please book a place via this link.
