Summary
This course is for teachers and other educational consultants who want to be accredited as Senior Professional Development Leader via our CPD Quality Mark
You should have already been accredited with Lead level before completing this course.
The Professional Development Leader Programme is our flagship approach to recruiting and developing suitable Professional Development Leaders for a teacher and school-led national CPD programme.
This stage is aimed at experienced lead Professional Development Leaders with extensive experience in delivering CPD across a range of contexts.
It will further develop skills built across the first two stages, while moving you to a position where you can work effectively with senior leaders and governors to facilitate change across a range of CPD contexts and provide strategic direction. You will also be able to develop and expand the skills of coaches. Your experience will potentially move you from local to national leadership roles within STEM Learning.
Successful completion of this course will result in the accreditation of our Senior Professional Development Leader CPD Quality Mark .

- effectively train, coach and mentor less experienced Professional Development Leaders
- expertly use a range of consultancy skills and processes
- understand how to utilise different elements of your skills and experience in varying contexts and across different periods of time
- deal with difficult situations and advise senior leaders effectively

Participants from outside the UK will be charged the course fee and an additional £120 per day plus VAT.
Additional information
For courses at the National STEM Learning Centre in York, fees include meals and accommodation for the duration of the course.
