Summary
Understand what we mean by Working Scientifically and how these skills develop.
This session will consider disciplinary knowledge and the 5 different types of scientific enquiry and how they develop from EYFS to Y6. Teachers will consider how to successfully match the most appropriate enquiry type to each unit, to ensure a variety of enquiry types are covered throughout the year.

Outcomes
By the end of this session, you will:
•appreciate the different types of enquiry that children can engage in to explore the world around them
•build practical investigations into science lessons, whilst supporting children’s subject knowledge development
•build self-confidence in teaching practical science activities & skills
